MOTOTRBO™ INTEROPERABILITY CERTIFICATION
Motorola Solutions and Leonardo (previously SELEX ES) carried out DMR Tier III interoperability (IOP) testing last year between their respective products. The results of those tests have now been reviewed by the Technical Working Group (TWG) of the DMR Association, who have issued the Interoperability certificate and summary test report. The certificate and test summary report can be downloaded from the DMR Association website.
The MOTOTRBO platform offers a wide range of products based on the DMR Standard. In addition, Motorola Solutions has developed extra, proprietary features that build on the Standard to provide value-add functionality. The list of enhanced MOTOTRBO functionality is extensive and includes GNSS location services, encryption, over-the-air programming, emergency calling, subscriber access control, call queuing priority, indoor location tracking and much more.
Motorola Solutions is a strong supporter of Standards-based technology and carries out interoperability testing as soon as practicable after product development. Motorola Solutions was the first manufacturer to conduct DMR IOP tests when they carried out testing with Selex and Radio Activity in 2010 and has most recently conducted testing on Capacity Max Tier III products.
